Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineer I – Civil to support civil engineering projects throughout New England. This role involves design and technical support responsibilities across a variety of infrastructure and site development projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop design plans, support permitting efforts, and gain exposure to all phases of project delivery while building a strong technical foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design calculations to meet regulatory requirements and ensure code compliance
- Prepare and assist with design and construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications
- Research and interpret applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with engineers, CADD technicians, and administrative staff throughout project execution
- Participate in site visits to observe existing conditions and support project coordination
- Draft technical correspondence, design reports, and project documentation
- Participate in internal, client, and agency meetings as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required
- 2–4 years of professional experience in civil engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure a plus
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, including site layout, grading, and utility design
- Familiarity with stormwater modeling tools such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or SWMM preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to travel independently up to 10%, occasionally on short notice
Compensation
Compensation: Competitive, depending on experience and level. Final title and compensation will align with qualifications and responsibilities.
