Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager – Civil to manage civil engineering projects throughout New England, with a focus on municipal, infrastructure, and site development work. This role involves project management responsibilities across a variety of challenging projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project scope, schedules, budgets, and coordination with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, while providing appropriate technical oversight to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Monitor project financial performance and manage scope changes and contract amendments.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, subconsultants, and contractors to meet project objectives.
  • Provide technical oversight and review of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and New England regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client and agency meetings, as well as proposal and business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
  • 10–15 years of professional experience in civil engineering, including demonstrated project management responsibility.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience managing civil/site development, utility, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Strong familiarity with New England permitting processes and municipal review boards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with design software such as Civil3D and related tools preferred.
  • Ability to travel independently up to 10%, occasionally on short notice.

Compensation

$110,000 – $180,000, depending on experience and level. Final title and compensation will align with qualifications and responsibilities.
