LKB was retained as Owner’s Representative for the construction of a new ground-up Hilton Garden Inn hotel located in Midtown Manhattan. The building was comprised of a 23-story, cast-in-place concrete tower with a cellar and subcellar with approximately 120,000 square feet. The project included the demolition of an existing commercial building as well as a tenant improvement work for an on-site bar and restaurant.
LKB was responsible for oversight of all aspects of the project including oversight of the general contractor, the design team, restaurant tenant improvement contractor, purchasing agent and FF&E installer, as well as coordination with the hotel brand. LKB also coordinated the turnover of the property to the operator as well as assisted with the opening process and coordinated the setup and installation of the A/V and IT systems.

This project was originally awarded to The Vertex Companies, LLC, transferred to LKB Engineering, PLLC in December 2024.
